Feline protectors of the sacred Lumawilo Tree
Aura is an independent young feline rogue who has spent her life wandering the outer islands alone. She has a warm golden coat with soft white tufts woven through her flowing mane and tail, and wide, expressive amber eyes.
After finding her way into Moon Path Keep, she is chosen by the sacred Lumawilo Tree. As she settles into the sanctuary, she begins to feel a real sense of belonging for the first time in her life with her newfound family—including Thorne, a spirited young guardian with whom she shares playful banter, meaningful glances, and a rapidly growing connection.
As the mystery of her origins unfolds, Aura discovers that her past may hold the key to all their futures.
The overgrown mangrove trees parted, revealing the misty turquoise water of the simulated hot springs. Aura and Thorne matched each other stride for stride, neither willing to give an inch. Vaulting off the final fallen log in perfect unison, they landed on the velvety moss beside the bubbling pool.
Thorne looked over at her, breathless and laughing. “I’d say it’s a perfect tie. Not bad for your first time on the grid.”
Aura’s amber eyes gleamed with mischief. “A perfect tie? I think my whiskers crossed the line first. But I suppose I’ll let you share the victory.”
An elegant, majestic feline with silky black fur and a long, feathery tail. She moves with quiet, fluid grace, and her brilliant blue eyes shift into intense silver when she channels her cosmic abilities. She can project a calming frequency known as her “moon-purr” to soothe and steady chaotic energy.
Often acting as the voice of reason for her brothers, Thorne and Nimbus. She becomes Aura’s mentor, guiding her as she learns the ways of the Keep.
“That feeling you have is the Lumawilo’s living light settling inside you. We all carry the light, but it works through us in different ways. For Nimbus, it is glowing networks and structural grids. For Thorne, it is physical instinct and raw strength. For me, it is the quiet focus that connects everything.”
“And for you,” Echo added, looking back at her with gentle warmth, “it will take its own unique shape.”
A spirited, athletic feline guardian with striking violet eyes. The youngest brother of Nimbus and Echo can often be found turtle surfing in the lagoon on a sunny day or preparing impressive meals in the Gathering Hall. He shares a playful connection with Aura that slowly turns romantic.
Aura hesitated at the shoreline, the incoming tide foaming over her paws. “Thorne, this is ridiculous. If I wanted to look stupid in front of a giant reptile, I’d stay on dry land and talk to you.”
“A rogue who’s afraid of a little splash?” Thorne called back, executing a playful pivot. “Come on, wild girl! Trust your instincts! It’s just like balancing on a tree limb in the wilds, only the branch moves!”
The oldest brother of Echo and Thorne is the tactical leader and technology master of the Keep. This large, disciplined feline is usually found wearing his high-tech Sight Visor, which helps him read magical signals and control the Keep’s systems with precision. His data pad and holo-screens are never far away. At first skeptical of Aura, he eventually becomes one of her strongest allies.
A large figure with sea-green eyes stepped forward, staring at the holo-screen hovering in front of him. He watched in disbelief as the scrolling code rewrote itself.
“The tree… it chose her.” Nimbus struggled to keep his voice steady. “It doesn’t make sense. The grid didn’t flag a single perimeter breach.”
He squinted in confusion through his Sight Visor as he studied Aura. “How did you bypass the defense system?”
A legendary feline who once served as the Vanguard of Moon Path Keep. He has a long, flowing white-and-gray coat that catches the wind. He wears a braided Vanguard bracer set with a small moonstone and carries a brass-rimmed scout’s spyglass. His eyes are striking: one piercing silver-blue, the other rich amber. Years of duty and life in the wild have sharpened his tracking, scouting, and survival skills. Echo and Cloud share a deep, long-standing bond. A hidden truth about Aura lies in the shadows of Cloud’s past, one that will change everything.
Cloud stepped toward the edge of the crystal-clear spring. “Keep those dry rations tucked away for the journey back. The island owes you a proper welcome.”
With a lightning-fast flick of his paw, he scooped a pair of plump, silver-scaled fish right out of the rushing water and onto the mossy bank, barely splashing a drop.
He looked back at the stunned crew with a rugged wink. “Let’s have a real meal tonight.”
